"Save the Cat!" is a well-known term in storytelling and screenwriting, popularized by Blake Snyder in his book "Save the Cat! The Last Book on Screenwriting You'll Ever Need." It refers to a specific moment early in a story where the protagonist does something kind or heroic, such as saving a cat, to win the audience's sympathy and establish the character as likable and worth rooting for. The HSR community has theorized the black cat in Kafka's splash art and Myriad Celestia trailer, among other things, to be Elio, the leader of the Stellaron Hunters.
