This achievement has no cultural references in the English and Chinese versions. It is likely specific to the game. The Noontide Gryphon is said to represent Aquila after opening their eyes to bestow light upon Amphoreus. Removing Aquila's Mark is what the chive's title is referring to. Could the Chinese title (消逝的光芒, roughly translating as Dying Light) be a reference to the game of the same name? Perhaps.
