Pankration is an ancient Greek sports event introduced at the XXXIII Olympiad (648 BCE). It was an unarmed combat sport that used boxing, wrestling and other techniques such as kicking, holds, joint locks, etc. It's similar to modern mixed martial arts, with the only difference being that pankration disregarded weight classes. The term means "all the power," which comes from the words πᾶν (pân meaning all) and κράτος (krátos meaning strength, might, power).
