Probably a reference to the 13th episode of Steins;Gate. The anime follows Rintaro Okabe, a self-proclaimed "mad scientist" who, with his friends, stumbled upon a device which allows them to send e-mails to the past. Episode 13 has Okabe desperately trying to prevent a tragedy he's already seen, the death of his oldest and dearest friend.
