Weyland-Yutani is a fictional corporation from the American science fiction horror/action franchise Alien. It first appeared in the 1979 "Alien", though only in logo form and referred to by characters as "The Company." They were obsessed with Xenomorphs, the titular Alien of the Alien franchise, and although this obsession is not fully explored, it suggests that they desire to understand and derive technological advancements from these creatures. The chive's name is fitting, since exploring Swarm-related tiles 15 times feel like an obsession to further understand the Swarm.
