命运之中 (lit. inside the fate) is a reference to a quote from the sci-fi novel The Dark Forest (2008), second book in the series Remembrance of Earth's Past by Liu Cixin: “Fate lies within the light cone.” (English edition 2015, Tor Books) In the novel, a light cone is the set of all points in spacetime that can be causally related to a single event at the speed of light, and anyone who can see information inside the light cone will be capable of changing fate. - Credit: Necrosyrtes
