"Methuselah's Children" is a science fiction novel written by American author Robert A. Heinlein, first serialized in 1941. The title "Methuselah's Children" refers to a group of humans in the story who have achieved extraordinarily long lifespans through selective breeding. Methuselah is a biblical figure said to have lived 969 years, so the title evokes themes of extreme longevity.
