A reference to the saying, "客随主便，主随客便", by Zhou Enlai, the first Premier of the People's Republic of China from September 1954 until his death in January 1976. The saying translates to: "The guest should follow the host's wishes, and the host should follow the guest's wishes." It means that when we visit foreigners, we as guests should respect the host's arrangements and respect their customs and habits; when foreigners visit us, we as hosts should respect their customs and habits to make them feel at home.
